More reorganizing

So since I liked the new and improved girls room, before my friend left I got some suggestions for Josh's room.

I am by no means done, but I made some impressive progress.


I moved his crib into the corner, shuffled the bookcase and doll house around and took out a bunch of things.


The slide still needs to go outside though. He likes it, but it is pretty big.


He got the dollhouse from the girls room, not sure how long he'll have it. I may decide to sell it. He played with it in their room but is less interested now. Maybe it critters in it like they had.


He was so excited to see this rug. We have been building large tracks on the surface, and trying to keep them on the rug. Anything with lines makes him think of tracks.

So far we have kept it clean, an he had lots of space to play in the center. He is doing a lot of cooking dinner! I love to eat his creations.

Room remodel

My good friend Jamie came to visit last week and helped me rearrange/organize the dining room and the girls bedroom.



They love their new layout and it really opened the room up for play space. Both girls have a clean desk now and can do art projects galore at their desk.











Tidy and wonderful!! I'm probably proudest of the closet. And the fact that we got it done in one day!

Please what!

Josh was demanding help taking his socks off. Karl said "please" Josh said "pees", k-please what?
Josh prompted replied "pees what." We both laughed then said "please socks off" and he finally got it right.

Early morning roll call

This did not happen yesterday, but early in the week, Emily came in and woke us up at 3:41 am. The crisis: her picture was gone!!! She was devastated to have lost it and was convinced someone stole it! We refused to start a search party despite her entreaties. She was crushed when we sent her back to bed.

First thing in the morning, she rushed in to reassure us the picture was in her room. Ack!!

She is feeling just fine!

She is on some hardcore antibiotics for the next week or so, but we are looking good so far.  There is some dry skin around the eye and eyelid.She is being a trooper about taking pills which they recommended over the nasty tasting liquid.  And she isn't complaining too much about the midnight wakeup call for her final pill of the day.
