Our home was the scene of a murder today. Not of a human, but we found the feathers (lots of them) and the head of a bird when we came home from Emily's Parent Teacher Conference this afternoon! EWWWWWWW! What were those little fluff balls thinking! I know they are supposed to kill things, but not in the house! The death toll is really rising in out neck of the woods. Woodland critters beware!
Anyway, Emily got her first report card for the semester/quarter not sure of the official name, and she did wonderfully well. So well that she is getting an award on Tuesday at 9:30 am for Academic Excellence. Isn't that just adorable! Her Student of the month is also going up in the hallway at school so everyone can see her picture. We are just thrilled.
Christopher A Bohjalian, a (mostly) fiction writer from Vermont published a collection of Sunday essays. If you read much, you might enjoy the entire collection. But one in particular you "plight" reminded me of.
ReplyDeleteoops... Title of the work is Idyll Banter (I think the title of his Sunday column).
